Custom Deep Drawn Stamped Mild Steel Door Lock Components For The Hardware Industry

A client in the hardware industry based in Baltimore, Maryland recently contacted Waterbury Contract Eyelets & Stampings, Inc. requesting that we employ our deep drawn stamping technology to manufacture a series of door lock components. Constructed from mild steel material, we used our Waterbury Farrel ICOP transfer press to deep drawn stamp each component to meet customer supplied design specifications.

With our deep drawn stamping equipment, we were able to machine the parts complete in just one operation. Upholding a tight (+/-) .002 precision inch tolerance, each door lock component was constructed to measure precisely 1.355 inches in length and .823 inches in width, with a wall thickness measurement of .035 inches. The part also contained two holes measuring .31 inches in inner diameter. Additionally, we used precision measuring equipment to test each unit, ensuring that all of our door lock components met precise dimensional requirements.

The door lock components possessed four dimples on each flange and were coated in gold zinc material. This finish provided each part with better durability and corrosion resistance. Based on a customer supplied design, we were able to use our advanced stamping technology to efficiently manufacture a series of premium door lock components that exceeded our client’s expectations for quality.
